Videos that go with Big Girl Toys

Here are a few videos that go with the previous post. Turn on your volume if you want to hear cute baby noises :)

The first video is just Lexi finding something extremely funny while sitting on her Little Mermaid car. I honestly don't know what she is laughing at but I could listen to that sweet giggle all day:

This video is Lexi still on the car but in this one she realizes that it also plays music. Her reaction is priceless. You can also see Lyla doing her own thing across the room, making her famous kissing noises.

Big Girl Toys

I know it's been forever since I've updated the blog, and I'm so sorry to all my faithful readers (all umm...four of you)! I'm also sorry to all of my blog friends for not commenting on any of your blogs in a while, but I promise I'm still reading! I've been busy with...life. Maybe I can get back into the swing of things here.

About a couple weeks ago we broke out some of Lexi and Lyla's "big girl" toys. First up was their massive ball pit. Let's be honest...how many of you wished you had something like this when you were a kid? My father asked me if I remembered the balls at Opryland---OF COURSE! Pretty cool that Lexi and Lyla have their own ball pit.

Having fun together

Trying to escape, but not without a ball

Something new to stand up on~

Lyla's new favorite thing to do...reach in to the ball pit and...

pull out balls!

The next "big girl" toy we pulled out was their Little Mermaid cars (well not really cars but I don't know what else to call them). Lexi and Lyla got them as gifts when they were born but were a little to small to use them then ;)

First time rider...a little timid

Notice the blurriness in her hand...she started to have fun~

Lyla's testing to see if she can get off of it herself

So happy

Vacation

I was on vacation this past week and I had so much fun with my little girls! Unfortunately the weather was less than stellar here so I did not get to do as much as I had wanted to with them. We did a lot of playing though! I have another week of vacation at the end of November to beginning of December, taken to coincide with Lexi and Lyla's birthday. I also got good news this week that my good friend Jill will be in town that week with her sweet baby boy Ryan whom I haven't gotten to meet yet! Needless to say, I'm already anxious for my next vacation! I distinctly remember a few years back saying that I could never be a Stay At Home Mommy, but my how my thoughts have changed. I love my profession but I just love being with my girls all day and watching them grow and discover new things. They are just so sweet and fun. Well, before I start crying into the keyboard, here are some pictures of Lexi and Lyla playing this week.

Pancakes

My girls love pancakes just about as much as I do, which in case you didn't know...I LOVE PANCAKES. But my girls eat their pancakes without butter or Mrs. Butterworth, which I imagine just can't taste as good.

The pediatrician said they can eat ANYTHING so I guess it's okay to share my good friend Mrs. Butterworth with Lexi and Lyla, right? Here's the problem though...bathtime is at night and I just can't bear to have sticky girls all day. Just typing that sentence makes me feel like a horrible Mama. I think tomorrow I'll be introducing Lexi and Lyla to a dear old friend.

Happy Ten Months!

Apparently 10 months has brought out the wild in my children. They are trying to climb all over everything and they talk All.The.Time. But they are the sweetest little girls and the apples of Mama and Daddy's eyes. They are really loving each other lately and will sit and play together for a long time. Catching them giggling together is the cutest thing! I'm starting to think about their First Birthday and it is slightly freaking me out. How can these girls be 2 months away from a year old?????

Trying to take their 10 month picture was an epic fail. It was so bad that I tried on 2 separate days. But nonetheless, I have some hilarious pictures to post.

One Of My Favorite Things

I love it when Lexi and Lyla crawl to me saying, "Mama, Mama, Mama...". Then they proceed to get in my lap and bounce, pull my hair, or just smile at me. I love it. I love them. One day I tried to capture what it felt like as Lyla crawled UP me:
