On Saturday December 5th, we had Lexi and Lyla's First birthday party. Ironically, one year ago on December 5th, we were all discharged from the hospital and sent home to begin our lives as a family of four. What a treat it was, to be able to celebrate Lexi and Lyla's birthday on this same day! We were so blessed to have a house full of people who came to celebrate these two beautiful little girls' birthday. Thank you so much to everyone who was able to come! We had a great time and hope you all did too. I've been a little behind (clearly visible in my lack of blog posts), and my thank you cards have not been sent out yet, but please know we are all so thankful for all the wonderful gifts that Lexi and Lyla received. I can not say it enough, we are truly blessed by all the love we receive.
And now some pictures!

Lyla can't wait to dig into her presents
We only opened a few presents during the party because there were so many! The girls loved the wrapping paper and cards!
We were so thankful to have so many good helpers!
Here's Lyla treating Aaron to a game of "Where's Lyla?". Aaron is the sweetest big brother and is so good with Lexi and Lyla.
Another one of my oldest and dearest friends, Deena. She had on a cool jacket with zippers and big hoop earrings that are perfect for 1 year olds!
Lexi totally knows what to do with cake!
Lexi devoured her cupcake, Lyla nibbled.
Thank goodness I have 2 babies for Deena!
Becca's cheesin for me!
Your girls are so big!!! We have Jackson's birthday party today, although his birthday isn't until Tuesday! Hope they had a great one and are enjoying their big girl car seats. Can't wait to use Jackson's. - Jonathan
