Lexi and Lyla had their 12 month appointment today. The pediatrician said that they are doing PERFECT! They are doing everything they should be doing developmentally and their growth is great:
Lexi: 20 pounds
29 inches
Lyla: 19 pounds, 8 ounces
29 inches
I can't remember percentiles but I think that they were 50th percentile pretty much. Can you believe my little 4 pound, 17 inch munchkins have grown this much? They have both grown a foot since birth!
The doctor also gave us the green light to stop formula and switch to whole milk. She wants them to only drink out of sippy cups, even if that means they barely drink anything for a few days. This is going to be hard for me, but I know it's for the best! So wish us luck, and pass on any words of wisdom you might have!
Big birthday tomorrow!
happy birthday girls!!
ReplyDeletetomorrow is my hubby's birthday!)
good luck on the switch. i also switched my girls cold turkey. one of them did fantastic...the other didn't drink ANYTHING for 24hours. she cried herself to sleep and woke up the next morning asking for her sippy. haha. hang in there! its hard and i wish you all the best! xoxo
I transitioned mine slowly, starting with water sippy cups at 6 mos, so when they hit a year, it was no big deal to just have milk from a cup. If they've been doing a sippy cup with water, I bet they'll be okay. The night time one is sometimes the hard bottle to kick. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteSo cute, can you believe 1 year has come and gone? I am so stressed out about going cold turkey to milk and sippy cups, still cannot find sippy cups that they will take to. Please post how it goes for L&L.
ReplyDeleteHA!! Good Luck with that!!! :)
